  • Dogs & Puppies: We administer vaccinations for Canine Parvovirus, Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, Bordetella, Leptospira & others. Puppies typically receive three vaccinations all 4 weeks apart starting from 6-8 weeks old. After the initial course, vaccinations and health checks are generally recommended annually. Chat to our team to ensure your pet is up-to-date with the recommended schedule.
  • Cats & Kittens: We vaccinate against Feline Calicivirus, Rhinotracheitis & Panleukopenia. ·       We also have vaccination for FIV and FeLV available for specific cases. Timely vaccination in kittens may help reduce the risk of chronic viral illness & long-term complications. Most kittens will require three vaccinations from 6-8 weeks onwards and then yearly with a health check thereafter.
  • Rabbits: Vaccination against Rabbit Calicivirus is recommended due to its continued presence in the region. Booster schedules are based on age &  health status.
  • Ferrets: We offer vaccinations to reduce the risk of Canine Distemper, a virus that can have severe health impacts.

These vaccinations are tailored to your pet’s age, lifestyle, and risk factors. Contact us today to discuss the appropriate vaccinations for your pet’s health needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How often should pets have a vet check-up?

Pets benefit from a veterinary check-up at least once a year. Annual health checks can help identify changes in behaviour, weight, or physical condition early. These visits are also an opportunity to assess vaccination needs and monitor overall wellbeing. Older pets or those managing long-term conditions may require more frequent visits to support their ongoing care. Always consult your vet to determine the most suitable check-up schedule for your pet.

  • What vaccines does my cat or dog need?

What vaccines does my dog or cat need? Dogs typically require C7 vaccinations, which helps provide immunity against parvovirus, distemper, infectious hepatitis, canine cough (previously known as kennel cough), and Leptospirosis. Cats are vaccinated with F3 combinations, covering Herpesvirus, Calicivirus, and Panleukopenia virus. Additional vaccinations such as for FeLV or FIV, may be recommended based on your pet’s lifestyle and living arrangements.

  • How often should I take my pet to the vet?

Most pets benefit from a veterinary check-up at least once a year. These visits allow for early detection of potential health concerns, review of existing conditions, updates to vaccination and parasite prevention plans, and ongoing discussions about your pet’s well-being. Your vet may recommend more frequent visits based on age, breed, or medical history.
